PLC Controls for High Temperature Furnaces
When a customer needed a specialty furnace
for an advanced materials process, they asked Watring Technologies
to provide a turnkey system with an operator interface that
could be easily programmed with various processing recipes.
We were able to develop a stand-alone PLC system with an operator
interface that allowed our customer to not only control the
furnace parameters such as ramp rate, set point temperature,
and hold times, but also allowed them to control a three-axis
translation system. Within 24 hours of installation in their
facility, Watring Technologies had their operators trained
and mass producing the advanced material with our equipment
and controllers.
